Joan's Chocolate Espresso Shake |  Milk Day

Makes 1 serving - uses 10 oz of your daily milk allowance

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp instant espresso powder
    • you may substitute instant coffee
  • 5 oz whole milk
  • 5 oz whole milk yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 packets zero-calorie sweetener
  • 3 - 4 ice cubes
  • in a small saucepan, bring water to a boil over medium-low heat
  • add cocoa and espresso powder
  • stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth
  • remove the pan from heat
  • stir in milk
  • place yogurt, vanilla and sweetener in blender
  • pour chocolate mixture into blender
  • add ice cubes
  • blend until smooth and frothy
  • enjoy!
