Barbeque Suggestions

If you’re going to a BBQ, we recommend you make various foods you are allowed and bring enough to share with others.  This way you are not the “odd man out.”  Examples:

  •  Veggie skewers that can be put on the grill – eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes, zucchini, etc are all great on the grill

  • Portobello mushrooms directly on the grill – if cooked where meat was cooked, it will take on many of the flavors without any of the unhealthy fat

  • A big tossed salad, dressing on the side

  •  A big bowl of guacamole and/or salsa – big slices of colored peppers and baby carrots for dipping

  • A fruit salad or big bowl of cut up watermelon

·          These are perfect barbeque foods which can be enjoyed by you as well as everyone at the BBQ.

If the barbeque event falls on a milk day for you, please contact your consultant with your food cycle from now until your BBQ or special event so we may help you to switch it to a veggie day so you may enjoy the celebration.
