Alfredo Chowder (Janet) |  Milk/Yogurt Day

Janet gets 2 large bowls out of this recipe. You can save one to microwave later or eat them both - it's only 8 oz. of your milk allowance. Janet thinks it's fabulous!!!!!!!

Ingredients
  • 8 oz. milk or Lactaid (Janet prefers Lactaid)
  • 8 oz. water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Xanthan gum
  • 2 Tablespoons Walden Farms Alfredo sauce
  • seasonings to taste: McCormick sea salt/garlic grinder, McCormick pepper/garlic grinder, onion powder, Lawry's Seasoning salt
Directions
  • whisk well and whisk while heating
  • in saucepan over medium-high heat, stir milk or Lactaid & water until hot
  • stir in grinders, onion powder and seasoned salt
  • sprinkle in Xanthan gum and whisk for a few seconds
  • add Alfredo sauce
  • with immersion blender, blend for 30 seconds, tilting and turning it so the whole mixture becomes thick and creamy
  • pour in a bowl and sprinkle with Lawry's
