Vegetable broth |  Vegetable/Fruit Day

The first 8 oz of vegetable broth are "free". After that, 2 oz of broth = 1 oz of veggies.

Ingredients
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 cup of kale or chard, chopped
  • 4 stalks of fresh grown celery, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste (optional)
  • 2 liters of water
Directions
  • place ingredients in 2 quarts (about 2 liters) of pure or distilled water
  • bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes
  • strain the liquid and discard the veggies
  • if you’d like to spice it up a little, throw in some cayenne pepper
