Broccoli Pepper Salad With Sweet And Salty Sprinkle |  Vegetable/Fruit Day

Makes 2 servings - uses 8 oz of your daily vegetable allowance

  • ½ head fresh broccoli, chopped large
    • or one 12 oz bag frozen broccoli
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • ½ red pepper, sliced lengthwise
  • ¼ red onion, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 tsp fresh ground cinnamon
  • 1 packet Truvia or other zero-calorie sweetener
  • 1 tsp freshly ground salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • legal guacamole (optional)


  • steam broccoli
    • if you prefer, you may use raw broccoli
  • mix ingredients
  • serve on a nice platter


  • in a small bowl, mix cinnamon, Truvia, freshly ground salt and pepper, cayenne (optional)
  • sprinkle mixture on top of salad
  • optional - top with legal guacamole (not included in serving size, below)
  • note, extra sprinkle may be stored and used for extra flavor on other recipes
